Since NIELIT O-Level  July 2022 theory and practical exams had conducted in august 2022. So the exams were conducted late as per the scheduled time which was in July 2022.

Generally, the result for theory and practice exams of NIELIT O-Level comes after 2 months of conducting the exams. But this year's exam was late so the result for NIELIT O-Level result July 2022 is going to get late from the pre-scheduled time.

O level Exam Pattern as per Revised patttern 2022

To pass O-level exam one has to score 30% in each papers.

Question papers have 100 questions in each subject.

All exams are in MCQ format.


Duration of the Course

The duration of ‘O’ level (IT) course is 540 learning hours and the minimum period to cover

contents is one year for candidates undergoing ‘O’ Level after 10+2 and six months for

candidates undergoing ‘O’ Level after Graduation.

Q.1. How do I fill Online Examination Application Form?

Ans. The facility of filling up of the Online Examination Application Form along with detailed steps is available at http://student.nielit.in.

Q.2. Is it compulsory to fill Online Examination Application Form? Or Is there any provision for physical Examination Application Form?

Ans.Yes. You have to fill the Online Examination Application Form. There is no provision for offline/ physical form, physical Examination Application Form has been discontinued from the July-2013 Examinations onwards.

Q.3. Do I need to create a User Account/ Login ID for filling-up of the Online Examination Application Form?

Ans.Yes, it is mandatory to have a user account/ Login ID. The same will also enable you to get important information like Admit Card, Result Sheet etc from NIELIT.


Q.4. I logged into my application and filled all information which was lost due to power problem etc. Will the information available again ?

Ans.No. You have to login again and fill the online examination application form afresh.


Q.5. Can I use my Institute’s email ID?

Ans.No. You should have your individual student email ID as all vital information relevant to you is communicated to you through your email.


Q.6. Can I change my email ID/ Mobile number?

Ans.You can change/ Update the email ID/ Mobile number through your login at “student.nielit.gov.in”.


Q.7. I have been registered through an Accredited Institute. Can I submit the Examination form directly?

Ans.No. Candidates, who have already undergone training and applied in all papers through institute, can apply the back papers directly.


Q.8. What can I do in case the institute is closed or accreditation withdrawn?

Ans.The institutes suppose to submit the list of candidates once withdrawn or closed. In such cases your name should be in such a list provided by the institute and subsequently allow you to sit in the examinations.


Q.9. I cannot see where my details are like how many papers passed etc. and where I will get the list of my papers I need to apply?

Ans.While applying online examination application form your data will be shown about your cleared papers and left out papers. In case of any discrepancy in the data, please send an email to exam@nielit.gov.in for clarification.


Q.10. What are the exam fees for O/A/B & C Level Theory & Practical exam?

Ans.The Examination fee is Rs.1000/- per module/paper for Theory and Practical exam.


Q.11. Is there any cost for Online Examination Application Form?

Ans.There is no fee for Online Examination Application Form. However, an amount of Rs. 100/- per Examination Form will be charged from the candidate as processing fees and will be collected along with fees for Theory &/or Practical Modules and Late fees (if any).


Q.12. How do I pay the exam fees on-line? Can I use internet banking?

Ans.Once you fill the examination form, system will direct you to payment options. You can pay fees by selecting suitable options through internet banking with your debit/credit card and net banking etc.


Q.13. I do not have credit/debit cards. How can I make the payment?

Ans.You can pay the fee through NEFT transaction or approach the Common Service Centre (CSC) who can make payment on behalf of you. You can locate the nearest CSC centre at www.csc.gov.in.


Q.14. Can I make payment of exam fees by DD along with online forms?

Ans.No. You have to make online payment by using credit/debit cards/net banking/CSC Services only.


Q.15. I have been registered through an Accredited Institute, Can I pay my Exam fee myself/ directly?

Ans.Yes, you can pay the fees yourself by selecting the appropriate options. But make sure your institute verify the form and submit to NIELIT successfully.


Q.16. What is the last date of Exam Form Filling?

Ans.Please see “student.nielit.gov.in” for information. However, usually the last date for January exam will be 31st October and for July exam 30th April.


Q.17. How much extra do I need to pay to Institute?

Ans.NIELIT is charging examination, practical and processing fees.


Q.15. Do we need to send the printed copy of online examination application form?

Ans.No need not to send the online examination application form.


Q.16. What is O/A/B & C Level course?

Ans.In the Non-Formal Sector, NIELIT is offering ‘O’ Level (equivalent to Foundation Level), ‘A’ Level (equivalent to Advance Diploma), ‘B’ Level (equivalent to MCA) and ‘C’ Level (designed to be at M. Tech Level) courses. O, A & B level courses are recognized by MHRD for the purpose of employment.

4. What is the schedule of the examination?

Ans.NIELIT O/A/B & C Level Theory Examinations are conducted every six months starting from the 2nd Saturday of January and July; Practical Examinations are conducted starting from the 2nd Saturday of February and August.


Q.19. How many papers can I apply in a single attempt?

Ans.There is no specific number as such. However, in each level you need to complete the papers in the

stipulated period.


Q.20. What is the minimum mark required to qualify the modules of O/A/B & C level Examination?

Ans.To qualify a minimum of 50 % marks is required in each module.


Q.21. Where will I be appearing for the Theory examinations?

Ans.NIELIT Examination Centres are spread all over the country. The list of examination centres are available once you apply examination form online.


Q.22. What grades are awarded and what are the corresponding marks?

Ans.The Examination result is represented as grades. The legend of grades is:

D: 50% – 54%, C: 55% – 64%, B: 65% – 74%, A: 75% – 84%, S: 85% and over, F: Fail


Q.23. How can I get Admit card?

Ans.Information will be available at “student.nielit.gov.in” two weeks before examination. Also, you can down load it from NIELIT web site.


Q.24. How do I get the result of my O/A/B & C Level Examination?

Ans.The result will be sent to you by speed post after exam. The result will also be available to you in your Exam profile as soon as it is declared.


Q.25. What is the procedure for applying for a Consolidated Mark sheet/Provisional Certificate?

Ans.Your results are available in your profile. You may view/ take print out of your performance details from the system itself. Or send a request to certificate@nielit.gov.in for the same with your complete correspondence and please mention your correct registration number.
